SCC to host feasibility study forum on unification of Salem County school districts

Salem Community College will host two public meetings to review the results of the feasibility study for the unification of the Salem County school districts.
Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C., and the experts who composed the study will present the results on Monday, January 31 and Tuesday, February 1. Each session will start at 7 p.m. in the Davidow Theatre of Davidow Hall, 460 Hollywood Ave., Carneys Point.
The Salem County Board of Commissioners hired the firm to conduct a thorough analysis of the educational and financial benefits and detriments of a unified Salem County school district.
The goals of a unified Salem County school district would be to improve the quality of instruction, assure educational equity and maximize savings of taxpayer dollars, according to planning documents.
Porzio, Bromberg & Newman worked with a wide array of educators throughout Salem County to compose a thorough report and analysis of the educational status and opportunities in the county.
