What type of nursing programs does SCC offer?

Practical Nursing Certificate

This one year program prepares you to sit for NCLEX - PN (State Boards). For students that do NOT have a LPN license.

Associate in Applied Science Degree

This one year program prepares you to sit for NCLEX - RN (State Boards). For students who are licensed practical nurses (LPNs)

Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

The Practical Nursing program and Associate Degree Nursing program at Salem Community College meets the state education requirements for a practical nursing certificate in nursing and a registered nursing license in the states of New Jersey and Delaware. Salem Community College has not determined if the practical nursing certificate and the registered nursing program at Salem Community College meets the state education requirements in any other state or any U.S. Territory. Contact the state regulatory agency for nursing in any other state for which this information is needed.
