Jennifer Martin Scholarship
The Jennifer Martin Scholarship celebrates the legacy of the Associate Professor of English, who passed away on January 14, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer. The scholarship stands as a lasting tribute to Professor Martin. For over a decade, she shared her extraordinary talents with SCC students, colleagues and community members. Her energy, compassion and love of learning were a mainstay on campus and will never be forgotten.

About SCC Foundation
The Salem Community College Foundation was founded in 1975 with a commitment to assist the College in acquiring private, corporate, and government support for the improvement and expansion of academic programs, College facilities, and services. In today's ever-changing world, the community college must promote academic and cultural advancement while embracing the values of the community.
The Foundation provides financial and other support for the College beyond that which can be obtained through state, county, and tuition sources. The goals of the Foundation are:
- To assist the SCC Board of Trustees in the growth and development of the College for the purpose of broadening educational and cultural opportunities.
- To assist the College in acquiring private, corporate, and government funding for the improvement and expansion of services, equipment, facilities, and events that cannot be adequately funded through other means.
- To provide financial support to community members to reach their educational goals and potentials through the continuous development of endowments and scholarships.
Giving to Salem Community College
When you make a gift to your Salem Community College, you’re investing in the students, faculty, athletics, and facilities that make our community great.
Sports Hall of Fame
The Salem County Sports Hall of Fame was initiated in the year 2000. Since then, the Board of Directors -- comprised of high school athletic directors, community members and SCC representatives -- has inducted over 100 local athletes into the Hall of Fame, located in Davidow Hall’s Gallery and DuPont Field House.
Each year, in August, Salem Community College honors local community athletes. Check the upcoming events calendar for the next ceremony.
