Liberal Arts
Associate in ArtsLiberal arts focuses on a well-rounded education, giving students the capacity for innovation and analytics. Often, liberal arts majors become shapers of our economy and culture. If you are interested in educational freedom, risk-taking and experimentation, then our program is for you! Areas of study include the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. Students will also explore using various methods of inquiry, increasing self-awareness, creativity, civic awareness, developing frames of reference and problem solving. Our Liberal Arts program is also offered fully online.
Our Liberal Arts program prepares students for advanced studies or specialization at a 4-year institution. Students who obtain an Associate’s Degree may pursue careers such as, but not limited to, entry-level management, journalist, editor, publicist, minister, and social services human relations officer.
"Salem Community College offers a very welcoming campus, plus it’s affordable. It allowed me to jumpstart my college career, and graduate with an associate degree at 17, and a month before high school graduation!”"
